šŸ˜ HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THESE STAINED GLASS WINDOWS?? šŸ˜

This is Nasir Al-Mulk Mosque in Iran, also known as the "Pink Mosque" due to its rose-colored tiles both inside and outside of the Mosque (swipe to see).

It is said the best time to see the Mosque is first thing in the morning as the sun shines through its incredible stained glass windows.

I donā€™t know about you, but I feel like Iā€™m looking through a giant kaleidoscope when looking at these images ā€“ itā€™s really out of this world!

These stained glass windows are one of the most celebrated in the world.

Some facts below:

ā Construction began on the Mosque in 1876.

šŸŒ™ The coloured glass used throughout the Mosque is called Orsi, which differs to traditional stained glass.

ā Traditional stained glass is used to illuminate images, where as Oris, uses coloured glass to amplify light into a space.

šŸŒ™ Here Oris is used to make visitors feel a sense of awe and wonderment when they enter and move through the Mosque.

ā Oris originates from Persia.

šŸŒ™ What do you think of the colours? Iā€™d love to know in the comments below!
